Doug: I thank you, Scarlett. Another crucial game of Hot Dice is about to start. First, let's see how everyone's doing.

Doug: Deo took us for nearly ten grand in the Bonus Bonanza. So far in the time he's been with us, he's banked CY$16,050.
Eddie's been here since this series started. CY$65,750 in winnings. For the most part, Lady Luck's been on his side -- but all sorts of rotten luck in the last game.
Eddie: Hope you took those darn dice out of the deep freeze.
(light laughter from the crowd)
Doug: Well, when a new game starts, we have new dice on the table. So maybe they'll actually be *hot* dice. Let's set up for our new game.

Doug: Since you each have a loss against you, "lose loss" is hiding somewhere on the double decision board. So a lucky roll can ease some stress. If it's not found, we'll be saying goodbye to the runner-up in this game. Hands on the buzzers and away we go with Round 1 and this question.
Dr. Benjamin Spock, Dr. Leonard McCoy or Charles Goodyear. Who invented vulcanized rubber?
(light laughter from the crowd) (Eddie buzzes in)
Doug: Eddie.
Eddie: That would be Charles Goodyear.
Doug: And that would be right.
Eddie: I should mention that Dr. Benjamin Spock was *not* a Vulcan.
Doug: Logical thought indeed. (light laughter from the crowd) Give 'em a roll, please.

Doug: Double 2 -- but as always the double decision board is inactive on the free roll. Eddie, CY$400 in the pot. Bank the four bills or roll for more thrills?
(audience shouts suggestions)
Eddie: Despite my second-roll woes in the last game, I shall toss'em again.

Doug: And a better result. Five and four bringing the pot up to to a lucky 1300. Bank 'em or roll 'em?
(audience shouts suggestions)
Eddie: They're feeling better now -- once more.

Doug: And it's a 5 and a 1. Pot's up to CY$1900. Was that really "once more"?
(audience shouts suggestions)
Eddie: Yeah, I think so. That's a nice number to start the bank with.
Doug: Banking CY$1900.
![]()
Doug: Remember, that's yours to keep regardless of how you finish in the game. On to another question as we start Round 2.
Because of an affair with another woman -- or because he won New Orleans' mayoral election. Why did former Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu leave the second highest elected office in Louisiana?
Doug: Eddie again.
Eddie: What? Caught taking bribes wasn't a choice?
(a few laughs from the crowd)
Doug: 'Fraid not.
Eddie: I'm afraid it was because of an affair. (buzz buzz)
Doug: No -- he's now mayor of New Orleans. Won the election there. Deo, dice are yours for the free roll.

Doug: And it's the ol' Lawrence Welk roll -- a 1 and a 2. Bank 300 or roll again?
(audience shouts suggestions)
Deo: Let 'em roll. Go lose loss!

![]()
Doug: No double here -- but you've got a 2 and a 4 for CY$600 more. CY$900 in the pot. Bank 'em or roll 'em?
(audience shouts suggestions)
Deo: Let's have some -- one more!

Doug: Went to the well one time too many. Six and one bust you out. Eddie still leads 1900 to nil. New question as we start Round 3.
Ozzy Osbourne's wife, Leslie Moonves' wife or Ellen DeGeneres' wife. On a regular basis, which of these women is *not* a co-host on "The Talk"?
Doug: Eddie.
Eddie: Ellen's wife -- believe she's on a different show.
Doug: Portia de Rossi, to the best of our knowledge, is not a talk show host. She's definitely not a co-host of "The Talk" -- so you're right. (audience applause) Ozzy Osbourne's wife is Sharon Osbourne. Leslie Moonves is the president and CEO of CBS; he is married to another co-host on "The Talk", Julie Chen.
With all that cleared up, Eddie, free roll.

(a few groans from the crowd)
Doug: And it's another Lawrence Welk roll. A 1 and a 2 for CY$300. Are you willing to gamble away three bills on the next roll?
(audience shouts suggestions)
Eddie: Oh sure, let's roll'em.

Doug: Five and a three. Pot's up to CY$1100. Right now, you have CY$1900 in your bank. Deo's yet to score. We're currently in Round 3. Bank the 1100 and start Round 4 -- or keep on rolling?
(audience shouts suggestions)
Eddie: Well, $3000 is a nice round number -- but I think these dice are feeling good. Let's keep'em going. (claps dice together) Come on, cubes -- don't make me look bad.

Doug: Woah boy. Double decision time. Eddie, you rolled snake eyes. That means we could add CY$200 to the pot -- or you may take whatever's hiding in the double 1 screen on the board.
As always, if there's a surprise, we follow its directions. If there's cyber-money, we add that much to the pot instead of CY$200. If there's a bust, you score nothing for the round.
(audience shouts suggestions)
Eddie: I'll go with the board.
Doug: Going to the double 1 screen on the board. What's hiding behind double 1?

Doug: CY$2000. Wow. The pot's now up to CY$3100. Just to prove to you guys it's there, fellers, please reveal the current location of "lose loss".

Doug: Now are you banking CY$3100 -- or do you want to try to add more to it with another roll?

(audience shouts suggestions)
Eddie: That's a nice round number, too. Bank, please.
Doug: Banking another CY$3100.
