Now, back to Doug Morris and Hot Dice.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Thanks, Scarlett. Welcome back to Hot Dice. Let's see how our players stand going into the next game.

Doug: Joseph, the winner of our last game, has CY$5900 in winnings. Nikolai has pocketed CY$80,500. But each player as a loss against him. Unless one player rolls a double and uncovers "lose loss", we say goodbye to the runner-up. Let's set up for a new game.

(ding)

Doug: Hands on the buzzers, please, because here's your first question of this crucial game.

Because she posed nude for "Playboy" -- or because she tried to get a job at another station in town. Why was reporter Shelly Jamison fired from a TV station in Phoenix, Arizona?

(Nikolai buzzes in)

Doug: Nikolai.

Nikolai: She posed nude for "Playboy".

Doug: She did pose nakey for "Playboy". (audience applause) Shelly Jamison also served as a sideline reporter for the TV series "RollerGames". Dice are hot for you, Nikolai. Roll 'em, please.

(Nikolai rolls)

Doug: And -- that's the time to roll a 7 -- on the free roll. Next 7's a bust. Bank the CY$700 or roll again?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Nikolai: I'm rolling again.

(Nikolai rolls)

(scattered groans)

Doug: It's the ol' Lawrence Welk roll -- a 1 and a 2. Better than a bust. Wanna take a thou in hand or try to add to that grand?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Nikolai: Let's give it one more.

(Nikolai rolls)

Doug: And you got an 8 for CY$800 more. Was that *really* one more -- or ya risking CY$1800 on the next roll?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Nikolai: I would say yes, that was one more. I am banking.

Doug: All right -- CY$1800 headed for your bank.

(ding)

Doug: Time to start Round 2 with another toss-up question.

Canoga Park, Burbank or Encino. "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In" originated from beautiful downtown -- where in southern California?

(Nikolai buzzes in)

Doug: Nikolai.

Nikolai: Burbank.

Doug: That's right. (audience applause) Yeah, once you get to beautiful downtown Burbank, you wonder where the beautiful downtown is.

(audience laughs)

(Nikolai rolls)

Doug: Nikolai couldn't wait to take his free roll -- and it's a 7 again. Remember, you bust on a 7 outside of the free roll -- meaning if you roll another 7 before the next round starts, all the moolah in the pot goes down the drain.

With that said, bank the seven bills or roll for more thrills?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Nikolai: I will roll again.

(Nikolai rolls)

(scattered cheers)

Doug: Wow -- a big 10. Another grand in the pot. Bank now and you'll roughly double your score. What say ye?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Nikolai: I am banking once again.

(more scattered cheers)

Doug: Put CY$1700 in Nikolai's bank, please.

(ding)

Doug: And quickly, we're up to Round 3. Joseph, let's see if you can win this question.

Is oxtail soup made from an ox?

(Joseph buzzes in)

Doug: Joseph.

Joseph: No.

Doug: Oxtail soup is made from beef tails. You're right, Joseph. (audience applause) Dice are hot for you. Take your free roll, please.

(Nikolai rolls)

Doug: And you start with 8 for CY$800. Joseph, you've got a lot of ground to make up. But somewhere on the double decision board, we've hidden CY$3000. So a lucky roll of doubles could make this a much closer game.

Then again -- there is an issue you want to avoid the 7 and the bust on the board. So bank the 800 or roll again?

(audience shouts suggestions)

(time passes) (buzz buzz)

Doug: Oh -- no decision in time. And unfortunately that means...

Doug: ...an instant bust. Sorry, Joseph, but we must move on.

There's still time to catch him. Let's see who gets control in Round 4 with this.

John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln and William McKinley have been victims of assassins' bullets. But the image of which U.S. President will you find on Mount Rushmore?

(Joseph buzzes in)

Doug: Joseph.

Joseph: Abraham Lincoln.

Doug: That's right. (audience applause) Dice are back in your control. Roll 'em, please.

(Nikolai rolls)

Doug: And -- thankfully we're rolling sevens on free rolls. Joseph, you know the next roll of a 7 in this round is a bust. Right now, you have nothing in your bank, Nikolai has 3500 and we're in Round 4.

What do you think?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Joseph: Roll 'em.

(Nikolai rolls)

Doug: And the roll is 6. Pot's up to a lucky CY$1300. Keep on rolling or bank the 1300?

(audience shouts suggestions)

(Nikolai rolls)

(scattered cheers)

Doug: Big one -- a 10 for CY$1000. Up to CY$2300. Roll again?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Joseph: I'll bank, Doug.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Banking CY$2300.
